We proudly introduce the Janes Avenue Neighborhood Outreach "JANO" , a grassroots Woodridge Outreach NFP Organization 501 (c) (3) that is focused on Children, Youth, Seniors, and Families in our Janes Avenue, Woodridge neighborhood.  We enthusiastically started our outreach the summer of 2016.  Our MISSION is to connect with our neighbors, be a positive force that brings our neighbors together, bring resources into the neighborhood, help build YOUTH G.R.I.T., and have fun.  We want to encourage, guide, and support our Woodridge neighbors.  We believe in building UP our neighbors, building ON our neighborhoods, and in turn, help BUILD a wonderful sense of Community throughout Woodridge - for ALL of us!

JANO is an extension of Agents For Change, a grassroots organization formed in 2004 by four dedicated women residing in the Janes Avenue neighborhood.  They were committed to reaching out to youth ages 13-18 through Mentoring, Counseling and Networking, affording them the opportunity to bridge cultural gaps in a diverse community.  With help from the community, these women provided programs that were Charitable, Social, Educational, and Recreational for youth in Woodridge.  The goal was to lift the spirits of the youth, building on positive, responsible attitudes and behaviors beneficial to society.  Those goals are the same today.  We are proud to share that since the Summer of 2016, JANO has served over 500 neighbors annually, including children, youth and our growing senior population in connecting to and working to build community!

With a committed JANO Team, outstanding support from the Property Managers on Janes Avenue, the Business community, Woodridge Churches, Library, Park District and School District 68 all working together,

we are dedicated and determined!
